Acidum salicylicum, also known as Salicylic Acid, is a homoeopathic preparation derived from C₆H₄(OH).CO.OH, naturally found in Spiraea ulmaria (Spiræa) and Gaultheria procumbens, and also synthetically obtained from phenol.
In homoeopathy, it exerts a marked influence on the nervous system, bones, joints, digestive tract, and mucous membranes. It is especially indicated in chronic rheumatic conditions, infections, and states of constitutional weakness associated with offensive discharges, restlessness, and auditory disturbances.
